DARKONA – Encounter

Two individuals of the Punk / HC – Underground from Hamburg, Germany, Karl Nagel (Militant Mothers / Kein Hass da) and Mirco Berner (Derail / ANA / Razzia), decided to start something new and put out an album together. Mirco wanted to create his “own version“ of stoner rock, including other genres like independent and post-hardcore for a long time. The music by Darkona is deep, dark, melodic, melancholic, and surprises through it’s complexity. Atmospheric, psychedelic, but often impulsive, snappy, and heavy groovy. The album has concept and takes you on a trip to consciousness, if you listen to it from start to finish. But the songs can be heard in no particular order too. There are definitely some hits on the record.
