Dark Web, Throbbing Chakra, Juice, Mesh, Toe Ring… And I’m sure I’m forgetting a bunch of them, but what is clear is that with each new band we’ve been getting to know in which Sims Hardin has been involved, we’ve been falling more and more in love with this guy from Philadelphia who has become one of our most revered and eclectic heroes of the current global scene, and who has now been able to take the triple somersault, evolving… Or rather perhaps involuting, due to an extreme elementality built from the purest lofi, in a precious and precise absolutely solo project, in which he has managed to gather and make work for him, that same muse that the Velvet used at the end of the 60s, and the one who now, more than 50 years later, is able to inspire an essential line up like The Shifters, to create SOCIETY, something new and wonderful that we didn’t even know we needed, but that now after listening to it we wouldn’t know how to live without.
