The Monochrome Set originally formed in London in January 1978. They were crucial and very influential in the Post-punk scene that evolved after the initial scorched earth of punk. Their third album „Eligible Bachelor“ was released in 1982 and was their debut for new label Cherry Red. This masterpiece can be arty or satirical but is always fueled with energetic and elegant melodies.
