ROLLTREPPE – Es Geht Bergab

Nearly four years after their debut Es Geht Bergab 12“ just got released on Contergan Punk Records. The sound of the five new tracks has evolved and become somewhat warmer, with more fx, yet still retains a distinct cold ‘post-punky’ vibe. Rolltreppe conveys the sense that they have moved past the critical first five years of every band, emerging as a mature musical quartet that clearly knows what they want from their creativeness. ‘Es Geht Bergab’ cleverly blends 80s sound aesthetics with clear and elegant references to (not only) Austrian (post-)punk bands. To give a few references in what direction it goes: A-Gen 53, Glueams, Hans-A-Plast, and the likes.
